CoA United States of America (alt)

Well, basicaly in this "timeline" the POD is settled in the late 30s United States, where a coalition forms between several right-wing elements of US politics, including the Ku Klux Klan (wich was actualy frightingly powerful in OTL during that time), the Christian Front (a laveshly anti-semitic and radiacal protestant political movement), the movement "America First" (an anti-semitic isolationist political party) and other, minor movements, uniting several influential right-wing elements into the American Fatherland Party. The ideology of the party was centered around American isolationism, racial segregation, fundamentalis Protestantism, Anti-Catholicism, Anti-Semitism, limited immigration and states rights. During the 1940's presidential election, the AFP send Huey Long to the reace for the White House, who in this TL survived the attempt on his life in 1935, turing it into a propagandistic coup for him and his party, and winning the election in a landslide on the back of a campaign fueld by a mixture of Red Scare, religious divide and promoting a "Third Way" between capitalism and communism. 

Once in pwoer, the US is reshaped in the AFP's image. Racial segregation is tightend immensley, effecting not only African Americans, but also Hispanics, Germans, Jews and Catholics (mostly Irish) by designting anyone who is not a white Protestant as a "Residential Alien" with limited citizen rights. The economy is corporatized, the press is censored and the state also recieves it's own state-religion with the American Apostolic Church, an anti-semitic breakaway church of the Catholic Church led by Father Charles Edward Coughlin, known to Americans as the "Radio-Priest" for his anit-semitic hate-broadcasts. 

The coat of arms of the US is changed in accordance to the new ruling ideology.

This project was heavily inspired by a mixture of a university seminar on the United States in the early 20th century and the not-that-well-elaborated TL on althistory wikia "February's Legacy".
