Europe after 1921 (A Greater Germany)

After WWI, Europe saw the fall of three major Empires in Europe: The German, Russian and Greater-Hungarian. Transformed into socialist states, they now formed a red powerblock dominating large parts of the continent. 

WWII never happened in this TL, since both powers who had lost territory here after The Great War (Russia and Germany), wich would have been the cause of WWII in any althistory scenario where either the Central Powers or the Entente won before, were still largley intact, concentrated in the same political bloc and were also never imposed with humiliating peace treaties as Germany was at Versailles.

There is however a very intense Cold War going on. Germany, Russia and the Union of the Danube developed the atomic bomb in 1949 (I figured without WWII, development in technology would have been slightly slower due to the lack of pressure to win the war), wich caused the already existing tensions between the the Communist International and the League of Nations (headed by the US, Great Britain and France) to escalate. 

Since then, many proxywars have been fought. In the early thirtees, China fell to civil war, after the International, the League of Nations and the Empire of Japan had meddled with the country's affairs. It was won after a 6 year long struggle by the communists under Mao Zetung, while Chian Kay Shek and his Kuomintang fled to Taiwan. The winning forces of Mao also liberated Korea from Japanaese occupation and turned the country communist.

In 1946,  in Vietnam, inspired by the sucess of the communists in China and Korea, the communist Viet Minh started an armed struggle against their colonial power, France. After a prolongd war, the League of Nations firmly established Ngo Dinh Diem as head of state.

Since then, the Cold War's proxy wars have largly concnetrated on Africa and Latin America. Cuba, Bolivia and Central America, Angola, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, the Congo, Somalia, the Yemen, Tanzania, India, Burma, Madagascar and Sri Lanka have turned communist. 

In the colonies of Syria, Libya, Egypt, Iraq and in Pakistan, there have been major communist uprisings and Civil Wars. Iran was also shaken by conflict, but survived and managed to save itself from communist or capitalist influence and founded the Non-Alligend Bloc along-side the non-alligned communist nation of Ireland. Members of these include Mexico, Brazil and the Nordic countries.

Yugoslavia for the moment is ruled by Serbia, but is very unstable and might fall into turmoil at any moment ...
