CoA Prester John

Prester John is a legendary king who was thought to rule a gigantic, powerful and mysterious christian Empire somwhere in Africa throughout the 12th and 17th century. Sometime he was also thought to rule in India, sometime even both Africa and India, mainly because of geographical uncertainties considering the shape of the world south of the Sahara.

The existence of Prester John's Empire was also considered during the planning of some of the Christian Crusades, since people in Europe were sure Prester John would come to their aid. When first word of the Mongol Invasions reached Europe, people first thought Genkhis Khan to be Prester John rushing to aif Christianity in it's fight against Islam.

Several rulers of the time also coresponded with the emperors of Ethiopia and thought him to actualy be John.

I thought I'd give him a litte CoA, based on the one shown in the "Libro del conoscimiento de todos reynos" of the 14th century. The cross on the crown is the symbol of the Saint Thomas Christians, who were thought to be Prester Johns flock during the centuries.
